For as long as I’ve been sculpting I’ve been asked what I do with the sculptures after the assignments are finished.

Well, up to this point, all of them have been displayed in my home. Some still are. Some of my earliest sculptures didn’t survive our many moves. Some were given to friends. Some are in boxes.

After giving birth to my daughter two years ago I haven’t found the time or energy to sculpt. I miss it. As she’s getting older, I’m finding myself with a little more time and a lot more creative energy. I’ve started to feel a very real urge to create so I’m starting to sculpt again.

My goal this year is display a series in a local gallery and to post a few in my shop for sale. These have been ideas and dreams for a while, so why not try now? I’m ready and see no reason not to. It’s exciting!

To make space, I’m letting go of a few. They were built stronger and more complete than some of the others. I feel like these few would display beautifully in a home because they have in mine :)
